2017 Tube-A-Thon Kick-off

The 31th Annual Tube-A-Thon Weekend

This Campership Fund Drive Builds Positive Assets for the Future

THIS YEAR OUR TUBE-A-THON GOAL IS $21,000

In honor of our camp motto, “WE SERVE”, we are inviting you to spend a fun filled weekend at camp to “kick- off” our annual fundraiser for the “ANOKIJIG CAMPERSHIP FUND”.  The goal is to raise money to help send less fortunate children to camp; and have outrageous fun doing it.  To accomplish this, you gather pledges of money from family, friends, neighbors, or anyone willing.  All donations from this program go directly toward sending less fortunate children to a week of summer camp in 2017.  Last year, this program helped nearly 280 children to a week of summer camp.
This is one of our largest goals ever so we are counting on all of our Anokijig friends and Supporters to take this chance to spread the word to as many  people as possible about the Campership Fund drive and all the good that Camp does for kids.
This is a chance to make a difference in a child’s life and have loads of fun doing it.
Funds raised for the tube-a-thon may be turned in the weekend of the event or after.

However Only pledges that are turned at or prior to the event will be counted toward the prize competition.

Thank you for your interest in helping others.
The following information will explain the details of the "fund" event.
  • Please return your registration promptly to Camp Anokijig or register online - Space will be limited.
  • Prior to the event, obtain as many sponsors as possible and have them record their information on the pledge sheets.

Note: THE ADDRESS/PHONE INFORMATION MUST BE COMPLETED FOR EACH DONOR)

  • Sponsors may pledge any amount.
  • Bring your pledge sheets and pledges with you upon arrival to Camp Anokijig for the Tube-a-thon.
  • Arrival may be arranged for Friday night or Saturday- check-in at the Health Lodge.
  • Three meals will be served on Saturday and Brunch on Sunday.
  • Saturday eve will feature a trip to the Blue Harbor Water Park.
  • In the past, we've had some difficulty collecting the donations that were promised. Please make every effort to collect all donations and send them to Camp Anokijig by Jan 31th, 2017. Remember Prizes will only be available to those whom have turned in their pledges. Remember this money is for a very good cause and if it doesn't arrive at Camp; fewer kids can be helped.2017 registrants whom haven’t returned their 2016 pledges may not participate in the kick-off event. The Tube-a-thon Weekend is specifically meant to raise money, however, this also costs Camp money. We must make every effort to raise as many pledges as possible in order to cover camp's costs as well as send as many kids as possible to camp.
  • ONLY participants with a minimum of $175.00 in pledges may participate at the Tube-a-thon event .
  • Note: In the past, several people have chosen to use this event solely as a reunion without raising pledges. Although we always enjoy seeing and visiting with all of our camp friends, this event is for the KIDS. It is our belief that is not fair to those whom are making the effort to raise pledges for some to attend without the minimum pledge. Please help to make this a great positive event by only attending if you are collecting the minimum amount of pledges.
  • All normal Anokijig rules of conduct will apply at the Tube-a-thon
If you are not able to attend: you may still help out by raising pledges or sending a donation.

Please note: We will be providing tubes for tubing however, all other equipment that you will need will be your responsibility to bring (i.e. sleeping bags, personal items, etc). Housing (of course) will be in winterized cabins.
